Chicken salad is made very similiarly.(Is that a word? You’re the writer!giggle) Anyway, that might be why you thought there was chicken in the Waldorf.

1) i love celery. A lot. Waldorf salad must have celery.
2) waldorf salad should not taste like hummus.
3) waldorf salad also should not have chickpeas. Or chicken.
Sooooo….. maybe this is just a fruity chickpea salad?
(I make mine with walnuts, one small sweet apple, two ribs of celery, and a dressing with vegan mayo, a pinch of sugar, and splash of cider vinegar, salt and lots of black pepper. Same as grandma’s famous recipe, just with vegan mayo)

I love waldorf salad. My mom used to make it all the time when I was a kid. Looking forward to trying it with the hummus dressing. I’ve never made it that way before. My family happens to love celery, so I’ll definitely be adding it to ours. :)
